Nicole Kahre, the owner of SPARKDTTP, has spent 20 years teaching dance at an elite level and studying the science behind all technical skills. Seeing a need for students and teachers to delve deeper into the anatomy of dance, and through years of research, Nicole developed a teacher training program that has proven results. The SPARK program ensures the breakdown of unfailing fundamentals necessary to succeed.
Teachers and students acquire refined dance skills as they focus on strength, alignment, injury prevention, power, and flexibility, in a carefully calculated layout. The teacher training program includes; training materials, online videos, individualized class plans and annual access to feedback and follow-up from Nicole. Additionally, each of our staff members are CPR/First Aid certified and have gone through SafeSport training for athlete safety. A unique combination of techniques is taught to make any team stronger regardless of the competition level.
MEET THE OWNER
Nicole has been teaching at the nationally acclaimed studio, Michelle Latimer Dance Academy since 1998. After graduating high school, Nicole moved to Los Angeles to pursue a professional dance career. She was featured in a Mellow Yellow commercial along with training and performing with the industries top choreographers. Nicole was seen on billboards and in People Magazine for a dance campaign in 1999.
After moving back to Colorado, she was the director and choreographer of the Denver Nuggets Dance Team. Nicole has received numerous awards for outstanding choreography and loves working with kids of all ages and levels. Many of her students are working in the industry and have danced with artists such as Justin Timberlake, Usher, Beyoncé' and much more. Some have also been seen on, So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, Super Bowl halftime performances, and the Grammy Awards.
In 2000, Nicole joined forces with Brian Friedman, Creative Director of The X Factor UK and The X Factor USA, to help form Be Free Productions dance conventions. Nicole has worked with many high school and college teams both locally and nationally. She has been the technique coach for multiple 4A & 5A State Champions and top 3 in the nation pom and dance programs since 2006.
